Game-day classic Buffalo Chicken Dip, veganized! Buffalo wings have long been a game day favorite and ever since I saw someone turn them into Buffalo Chicken Dip, I knew I had to try my hand at a vegan version. Young jackfruit takes the place of shredded chicken in this spicy dip. Vegan cream cheese and. mozzarella give it a creamy melty texture, and your choice of buffalo hot sauce (I used medium) give it the spice! Vegan Buffalo Chicken Dip for the win! Super Bowl Sunday, we're ready for you!

Off-the-shelf ingredients make this easy, low-hassle and quick. You can easily make this before the game and keep it covered in a warm oven until serving time. I used Kite Hill Vegan Cream Cheese and Violife vegan mozzarella shreds. Neither have added garlic or onion, plus Kite Hill uses almonds as the main ingredient in their dairy-free products, which is great for a low-FODMAP vegan diet.
Jackfruit is a tropical fruit that is often picked young (also called green) and used as a meat substitute in many Asian cuisines and has found its way into Western foods too. You can find it canned in brine (don't get jackfruit in syrup), usually near the Asian foods at your grocery store, or order online for next day delivery. It is inherently low-FODMAP and is a great addition for a vegan low-FODMAP diet. When you squeeze jackfruit pieces between your finger and thumb, it "shreds" similar to pulled pork or shredded chicken, making it the perfect texture and filling for Vegan Buffalo Chicken Dip.

Vegan Buffalo Chicken Dip is creamy, cheesy, spicy and slightly tangy. In the tradition of buffalo wings, be sure to put a few celery sticks out to serve with it. Otherwise, serve with tortilla chips, gluten-free crackers and any other vegetable sticks of your choice.
